FAQs: Sailing the Dubrovnik, Mljet & Lastovo Route
Do I need to buy tickets for the National Parks?
Yes, both Mljet National Park and Lastovo Islands Nature Park require entrance tickets. We can advise you on the best way to purchase them, often cheaper in advance.
Is the sail to Lastovo difficult?
The leg to Lastovo is an open-sea passage, which can be more challenging in certain wind conditions. Your skipper will always ensure a safe and comfortable journey. For bareboat charters, it’s recommended for sailors with some open-water experience.
Are there many services (restaurants, shops) on Lastovo?
Lastovo is much less developed than other islands. You will find excellent restaurants in main bays like Zaklopatica, but provisioning options are however very limited. It’s part of its charm!
How crowded is this route in summer?
While Dubrovnik and Korčula are popular, the inclusion of Lastovo makes this route far less crowded than the Split-Hvar route. It’s a perfect balance of iconic sights and peaceful escapes.
